Stability and Stabilization of Switched Linear Systems with State Delay: Continuous-Time Case

In this paper, the problem of stability analysis and stabilization synthesis of switched linear systems with time delay is studied in continuous-time domain. First, two sufficient conditions are established under which the system is asymptotically stable under arbitrary switching signal, and, if a set of linear matrix inequalities is solvable, a state feedback controller can be designed to stabilize the system under arbitrary switching signal. Secondly, a sufficient condition is given under which a switching signal can be constructed such that the system is asymptotically stable under this switching signal, and, if a set of linear matrix inequalities is solvable, a state feedback controller can be designed to construct a switching signal under which the system is asymptotically stabilized.
